We never have enough money to do all the things we'd like to do - promoting awareness of dyslexia in Cornwall and making sure that appropriate help and support is available. If you can help with fundraising we'd love to hear from you so here are some ideas below of how you might be able to help. Of course we'd also like you to become a member of the CDA and support us in that way.

To help us with the running of the Cornwall Dyslexia Association
we have a FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE for you. We challenge you to raise as much money as possible for the drop in centre. This could be anything from a dress down day at work to a cake sale to a parachute jump! Closing date November 18th 2011. See flyer for details.

Current fundraising bids

We have submitted funding bids for our adult dyslexia drop-in centre and awareness project and our parent support courses to the lottery and are waiting results which we should hear about in autumn 2011. We've also submitted a bid to Lloyds TSB which would help keep our drop-in centre open for six months. Again we are awaiting the results.Thanks to generous funding from the Duchy Health Charity we are managing to keep the drop-in centre open on a limited basis but if we don't get any of the funding bids it is going to be extremely difficult for us to keep the services going.
